About
Sugar gliders can glide up to 50 metres between trees using a thin skin membrane (patagium) that stretches from wrist to ankle. Native to Australia and New Guinea, they are popular exotic pets worldwide despite being marsupials — more closely related to kangaroos than to the flying squirrels they resemble.
