About

A long-haired variety of the Siamese, the Balinese carries the same colour-point pattern and bright blue eyes but with a silky single-layer coat that lies flat and rarely mats. Despite its name, the breed originated in the United States from Siamese litters that spontaneously produced long-haired kittens in the 1950s.
