The 1.6 updates
Version 1.6 isn't one release — it's a series. Over the next few updates we're rolling out changes across reporting, discovery, and sanctuaries, shipping each piece as it's ready rather than holding everything for one big drop.
Here's what's landing. We'll keep this page updated as each release goes out, so it's worth checking back.
Reporting
Fix a misidentification on the spot
When you report a capture as misidentified, you'll now see the other species our model considered — ranked by how confident it was. If the right one is in the list, pick it and the fix is applied immediately. No waiting on us to review it.
Discovery
Field notes before identification
You can now jot a field note before the species is identified — what it was doing, where you found it, what you noticed. Beyond being a nicer record of the moment, those notes feed into identification and help us get the call right.
Privacy on every capture
Every capture now defaults to friends-only. You can set any capture — the photo or video itself — to private, friends-only, or public, so the shots you want to share are shared and the ones you don't stay yours.
Sanctuaries
The biggest piece of the series: your sanctuary stops being a place you visit alone.
Upgrade your boat to a flying boat
Your boat can be upgraded to fly, and a flying boat can reach other worlds in Pixel Wild — the sanctuaries other rangers have built.
Leave a mark in other worlds
Once you're there, you can sign the guestbook, or lend a hand caring for their inhabitants — watering and feeding while the owner's away.
Updates roll out through the App Store as they're ready. Turn on automatic updates and you'll get each one as it lands.
