What it is
Pixel Wild reimagines the nature field guide as a game. Point your camera at a plant, bug, bird, or animal and the species is identified in seconds — on device for instant results, with cloud AI for the tricky ones — then rendered as collectible pixel art. What sets it apart from straight ID apps is what happens next: every discovery becomes a creature you place and grow in your own tile-based pixel-art sanctuary, learning real facts about each species as your world fills in.
How it works
Identification is a hybrid of on-device and cloud: iNaturalist's open model recognizes species instantly on device, and a cloud model refines the call when more confidence is needed. Apple Intelligence runs on device to write each species' facts and generate the dynamic care questions that make tending your creatures feel personal. A live Community Map shows what others have discovered nearby, and new species and themed pixel-art block sets ship regularly. Built entirely in SwiftUI for iPhone and iPad.
