About
The Woodland Dor Beetle is a chunky, glossy-black scarab beetle with a striking metallic blue-violet sheen on its underside, found across Europe and Asia in woodland and meadow habitats. It buries dung up to 60 cm underground to provision egg chambers, making it one of the most industrious recyclers in the forest floor ecosystem.
