About

Tufted vetch is a climbing legume that drapes hedgerows and meadows in dense one-sided racemes of violet-blue flowers. Its tendrils can haul the plant several metres up through surrounding vegetation, and its roots fix atmospheric nitrogen — quietly fertilising the soil beneath it.
