About
A plasmodial slime mold that materialises overnight on mulch as a foamy bright-yellow or orange blob the size of a dinner plate, then slowly creeps across the surface engulfing bacteria and fungal spores. Despite its alarming appearance and name, it is completely harmless and will shrink into a crusty brown mass within a day or two as it sporulates.
