Dromedary camels are the tallest of the three camel species, standing 1.8 to 2.4 meters tall, and weighing between 400 and 690 kilograms. Each camel has a single hump, which is made of fat bound together by fibrous tissue, and the hump is 20 centimeters or more tall.
