About

The Vivid Dancer is a striking damselfly of the western United States, with males displaying brilliant violet-blue bodies banded in black — one of the most intensely coloured odonates in North America. They favour fast, rocky streams and hot springs, where they perch conspicuously on sun-warmed boulders.
