About
One of the most widespread bats in North America, the Big Brown Bat roosts in buildings, bridges, and tree hollows and can be found in cities as easily as forests. A single bat can eat its body weight in insects each night, including beetles too hard-shelled for many other bat species.

- 2.juvenileA furred juvenile is left in a nursery cluster while its mother forages, gaining strength in its wings.
- 3.fledglingA near-adult bat takes its first short flights and begins catching prey or feeding on its own.
- 4.adultFully grown, flying and foraging confidently.
