About

The Brittany is a compact, energetic gun dog bred in northwest France that both points and retrieves — making it one of the only sporting breeds that does both jobs in one. Originally called the Brittany Spaniel, the 'Spaniel' was officially dropped by the AKC in 1982 when it was recognized that its hunting style more closely resembles a setter or pointer.
