About

A tall roadside and meadow plant topped with dense plumes of tiny yellow flowers in late summer. Its pollen is heavy and insect-carried rather than airborne, so goldenrod is usually wrongly blamed for hay fever actually caused by wind-pollinated ragweed blooming at the same time.
