About
Greenspot nightshade is a sprawling perennial shrub native to California and the southwestern United States, bearing clusters of small white flowers each marked with a distinctive green spot at the base of its five petals. Its pea-sized berries ripen from green to glossy black and, like those of related nightshades, are toxic to humans.
