About

A compact Welsh herding breed with famously short legs, large upright ears, and a fox-like face. Originally bred to drive cattle by nipping at their heels, their low-slung build let them dodge kicks — making them one of the few herding breeds that works from below rather than behind.

Life cycle

A blind newborn pup nurses and sleeps, completely dependent on its mother.
