About
The golden jackal is a slender, wolf-like canid native to Eurasia and Southeast Asia, distinguished by its tawny-golden coat and dark-tipped bushy tail. It is the only Old World member of the genus Canis and remarkably can produce fertile hybrids with domestic dogs.
