About

The grey whale migrates roughly 10,000-12,000 miles round trip each year between Arctic feeding grounds and Baja California breeding lagoons, one of the longest migrations of any mammal. It feeds by rolling to one side and sucking sediment off the seafloor, filtering out small crustaceans through its baleen.
