About

A tough, semicircular bracket fungus that grows in tiered shelves on hardwood stumps and dead trunks, its ridged upper surface often tinted green by algae. Unlike most polypores, its underside bears elongated maze-like pores rather than round ones, giving it a distinctly gilled look.
