About
A stout, intelligent omnivore domesticated from the Eurasian wild boar over 9,000 years ago and now one of the most numerous large mammals on Earth. Pigs have a sense of smell roughly 2,000 times more sensitive than humans and can be trained to sniff out truffles buried deep in forest soil.
