The Common Freshwater Jellyfish, also known as the Peach Blossom Jellyfish, is a freshwater hydrozoan that has been introduced to many parts of the world, including the United States, Canada, and Australia. Unlike its scyphozoan relatives, the Common Freshwater Jellyfish has a muscular, shelf-like structure called a velum on its ventral surface, attached to the bell margin.
