About

North America's most abundant wood-warbler, the Yellow-rumped Warbler sports bold yellow patches on crown, flanks, and rump that flash brilliantly in flight. Uniquely among warblers, it can digest the waxy coating of bayberries, allowing it to overwinter far farther north than any other warbler.
