About

A compact, bark-patterned jumping spider found on tree trunks and fences across eastern North America. Its large forward-facing principal eyes give it nearly 360° vision, letting it track prey with startling precision before leaping several times its own body length.

  3. 3.
    subadult
A near-adult arachnid molts through several instars, growing larger and developing mature markings.
  4. 4.
