About

A ground-loving warbler of brushy edges and bogs, the Palm Warbler constantly bobs its tail up and down as it walks and forages, a habit unlike almost any other warbler. Despite the name, it breeds in Canada's boreal muskeg and only winters near palms in the southern U.S. and Caribbean.

Life cycle

   A pink, blind hatchling is fed by its parents in the nest, gaping its bill at every visit.
