About

Woolly bluecurls is a small evergreen chaparral shrub native to southern California and Baja California, bearing intensely blue-violet flowers surrounded by dense woolly purple bracts. Its dramatically long, arching stamens — curving out like blue eyelashes — inspired the "bluecurls" name and draw hummingbirds and native bees alike.
