About
Salak, commonly called snake fruit, is a clustering palm native to Java and Sumatra, named for its distinctive reddish-brown scaly skin that closely resembles a snake's scales. The crunchy, sweet-tart flesh is arranged in three lobes, each enclosing a large inedible seed.
