About
Developed in 19th-century England by gamekeepers crossing Bulldogs with Mastiffs, the Bullmastiff was bred to silently track and pin poachers without mauling them. Powerfully built yet surprisingly agile, it carries its massive wrinkled head on a compact muscular frame — earning the historic nickname 'the gamekeeper's night dog.'
