About
The green-striped grasshopper is a common North American band-winged grasshopper whose body color ranges from green to brown depending on the individual, but males of both color forms reveal bright blue-green hindwings edged in black when they take flight. It overwinters as a nymph, becoming one of the first grasshoppers active in early spring.
