About

A tall, upright Chinese breed with a distinctive U-shaped keel and feathered legs, brought to Europe in the 1870s where it reportedly improved the type of several other breeds it was crossed with. Langshans lay eggs with a notable plum-tinted shell, unlike the typical brown of most breeds.
