Myrtle is a small evergreen shrub native to southern Europe, North Africa, Western Asia, Macaronesia, and the Indian subcontinent. FACT: Myrtle has a unique ability to emit a sweet, floral scent that can mimic the pheromones of a female Myrtle, attracting male Myrtle to mate.
