About
The Amazon River Dolphin, or boto, is the largest freshwater dolphin on Earth and the only dolphin that turns vivid pink — a coloration that deepens with age, scarring, and excitement. Unlike most cetaceans it can rotate its head 90 degrees, letting it hunt among the roots and branches of flooded Amazonian forests.
