About

A tall wildflower of the evening-primrose family that erupts in vivid magenta spikes across fire-scorched hillsides, earning its name by being one of the first plants to colonise burned ground. Each spike blooms from bottom to top and can release up to 80,000 feathery seeds that drift miles on the wind.
