About
The binturong, or bearcat, is a shaggy-furred Southeast Asian viverrid with a fully prehensile tail — one of only a handful of carnivores that can grip branches like a fifth limb. Its scent glands produce 2-acetyl-1-pyrroline, the same compound responsible for the smell of popcorn.
