About

One of the oldest sighthound breeds, the Afghan Hound originated in the mountains of Afghanistan where its silky, flowing coat insulates against extreme cold. Capable of running at speeds up to 40 mph, it hunts by sight over rugged terrain and was historically prized for coursing leopards alongside royalty.
