About

The Canada Goose is one of North America's most recognisable waterfowl, identified by its black head and neck with a bold white chinstrap patch. A single breeding pair can raise 2–8 goslings per season and will aggressively defend their nest against much larger animals.

Life cycle

A clutch of eggs rests in a down-lined nest near water, covered and warmed by the brooding female.
