About

A large, shaggy, tousle-coated herding and cattle-driving breed from the Flanders region of Belgium and France, originally used to pull carts and herd livestock. Its rough double coat and thick beard and eyebrows once helped protect it from the horns of cattle it drove.

Life cycle
