About

An ancient, landrace breed brought to Iceland by Norse settlers over a thousand years ago and left largely unmanaged by selective breeding since, resulting in striking variation in color, comb type, and size within the same flock. Also known as the 'Haenur' or Viking chicken, it is prized for cold hardiness and foraging ability.
