About

The Burmese is a compact, muscular cat with a strikingly silky satin coat that comes in rich solid colours — most famously the warm dark sable brown that gives the breed its signature look. Descended from a single cat brought from Burma to the United States in 1930, they are famously dog-like in temperament, following their owners from room to room and tolerating handling far better than most cat breeds.
